Chiswick charity planning pop festival |
Help sought to get major fund raising event off the ground A leading Chiswick charity is conducting a feasibility study for a 2 day pop festival later this year. A spokesman who was a director of the charity said, “we have identified various suitable locations in West London that would hold 20,000 + fans with the appropriate security. We now need to locate a team of people and a professional organiser who can handle the essential items such as organising ticket sales, liaison with the local police, St John's Ambulance and the co-ordination of security." The group have identified some people who can help us obtain acts, but they really need as much help as possible from the local community to make the event happen. “Our objective is to raise the profile of the charity to a National level and to boost our funds by £750,000, said the Director. The charity is not revealing its identity at this stage, waiting for the plans to make further progress before doing so.
