Actor spotted in West London again with Cameron Diaz
Shooting has begun in London of a remake of 'Gambit' which will star Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman a trio who were recently spotted in a Chiswick bar. Travellers at Heathrow Terminal 5 today (18th May) were delighted to see them in costume for filming that was taking place at the airport. Cameron Diaz was sporting a 'Daisy Duke' style outfit whilst Colin Firth was wearing a sober business suit and unfamiliar glasses. The original starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine and got three Oscar nominations. The new version is the story of an attempt to scam a wealthy art collector (Alan Rickman) into buying a fake Monet. Colin Firth plays an art curator who ropes in a rodeo queen (Cameron Diaz) to the scheme. In the original Michael Caine played a cat burglar trying to steal a priceless statue from a billionaire with the unwilling help of Shirley Maclaine's waitress. The project has been one that Colin Firth has been associated with since 2007 and he has described getting to the stage where shooting can begin as a 'tortuous process'. "It's a lovely, witty Coen brothers script," he told the BBC news website. "I'm told it's a vast departure from the other film."
