CHISWICK
SEA CADET LEADS THE WAY
Last
weekend the Sea Cadets of Training Ship Stork
ventured into leafy Surrey for a camping and
outdoor activity competition. The team of six
pitted their skills in orienteering, night
navigation, camp craft, first aid and fitness,
against teams drawn from the South West of
London.
Whilst
the team acquitted themselves well, the team
leader, Petty Officer Cadet Gaynor Pearce aged
17 (pictured left) outshone the other team
leaders and won the prestigious Mackinley Leadership
Trophy. This is added to her growing collection
having won the London Area Leadership award
last year. Is this a future captain of industry
in the making, perhaps?
Fancy
some of this? Aged between 12 - 15 years? Chiswick
Sea Cadets meet on Wednesdays 19:30 - 21:30
and Sundays 11:00 - 15:30 at the Chiswick Pier
House, Corney Reach Way, Chiswick. Come and
join us!
