21 storey building would be smaller than the Chiswick Curve development

The latest attempt to build a tower block on the triangular plot next to Chiswick Roundabout has been unveiled.
Holly House, which is being proposed by Starbones Ltd the developer behind the Chiswick Curve, would be 21 storeys high, considerably smaller than its earlier proposal and there would just be one tower.
The Chiswick Curve would have been a mixed use building of two towers, one 32-storeys and one 25-storeys, that would have contained up to 327 flats. It was rejected by Hounslow Council’s planning committee but a government planning inspector ruled in its favour only to be overruled in turn by a government minister.
The newly proposed 40,000 sq ft building would comprise office and commercial space on the three lower floors and around 300, 1,2 and 3 bedroom flats on the top 18 storeys. A communal roof space would be on top of the building.
Some of the office space would be given over to managed business ‘incubators’ comprising approximately 50 small scale units which the developer says would be suitable for smaller businesses and freelancers.
In a letter informing residents of the scheme Starbones says that the scheme takes account of lessons learned from previous proposals for this site and will bring forward significant local benefits.
