A pupil at Chiswick School has raised over £1300 for a bereavement charity by performing with other school musicians.

Harry Robinson, who is in Year 10 and the lead singer of local band ‘The Q’, organised the Rockin’ for Rocco event to support Winston’s Wish in memory of the son of former Chiswick School student.

The amount raised was more than double the original target of £600.

Winston’s Wish is a charity that helps children, teenagers and young adults (up to the age of 25) find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.

The event, which was held in the George and Devonshire, was a musical celebration of life and love.

Audience members said they were overwhelmed with the talent on show and the community spirit that Harry had shown.

Miss Mills, the Deputy Headteacher of Chiswick School added, “We are so proud of Harry and the students involved in this event. We have a superb music department which extends through students, staff and the wider community. Harry has also raised an incredible amount of money for this extraordinary charity.”

You can still donate to Rockin for Rocco and Winston’s Wish.
