Handy Guide To Buses in Hayes Delivered In Chiswick |

Confusion as thousand of leaflets sent out by TfL about services in another area
Residents have been reacting with both anger and confusion after thousands of leaflets were delivered to the Chiswick area about bus routes in Hayes. Transport for London (TfL) have been circulating 'handy guide' to bus routes in the area even though it would be far easier to travel there by tube and train from W4. One irate local reader told us, "TfL have just hand-delivered a copy of a leaflet to my house in Rusthall Avenue that is great for someone living 12km away in Hayes but useless here in Chiswick. "Presumably the whole of at least the Ealing part of Chiswick is getting one! It seems amazing that the people in charge of delivering them did not stop to think for a moment what they are doing. Heaven knows how much money they have wasted".
Another reader surmised that information about Hayes buses is being distributed in the northern part of Chiswick because this are part of the Ealing and Hillingdon Greater London Assembly constituency area which also includes Hayes. One contributor to the Chiswick forum pointed out that you could travel to Hayes from W4 by tube and train in 30 minutes but it would take you well over an hour if you did use the bus. We have asked TfL about the leaflets but have not received a response. February 21, 2018 |
