St Mary's RC School Consistently ranked as one of the top schools in the area. In 2006 as well as achieving exceptional results at Key Stage 2 Level 4, 69% of tests taken by pupils reached level 5 the standard of achievement expected of 13 year olds. In May 2002 it was awarded beacon status. The school gets three times as many applications from weekly mass-goers as it has places so forget about lie-ins on a Sunday morning. Children should be baptised Catholic and parents should look to make a contribution to the parish even before their children are accepted into the school.
