Furniture company closes all shops including Chiswick branch
New Heights is closing all its retail shops including their Chiswick branch. The up-market furniture company is understood to have suffered from waning sales resulting in stores ceasing trading last Friday. It is unclear whether the retailer intends to open them again as the company’s head office has declined to comment. Founded in 1999 New Heights’ 20 stores were bought out by Sofa Workshop for £1.8 million in 2006 but the two brands traded separately. All the 34 Sofa Workshop stores including Chiswick have remained open. May 20, 2008 |
