Trophy and a diamond worth over £1000 presented to winning team
Marmalade Jewellery owner, Simon Johnson, presented the team who won the first of his Marmalade Mystery games with a trophy and a diamond worth over £1000. Evangeline (11), Finnian (8) and their mother Tiffany Stanford were the winning team Poppy - named after their pet cat. They saw off tough competition but were the first team to complete the 14 questions in just one hour and five minutes. Second and third places recorded times of one hour 40 minutes. The teams raised money to take part and almost £1,000 has been donated to the chosen charity - Help a London Child. A special mention must go to Lizzie and Kate Elmer who raised the most amount of money. Marmalade owner, Simon Johnson, said, “We’re delighted by the amount raised and by the reaction of the participants. The winning team were awesome; they worked really hard combining their local knowledge with boundless energy. I can’t wait to run another one in the summer.” Tiffany Stanford who owns ‘Something Nice’ and lives in Chiswick said, “We’re over the moon. It was great for the local traders and community alike.”
