Local business chosen as an outstanding success

Following up their success at winning the ‘Inspiring Independent’ award in 2012, local independent jewellery store Marmalade Jewellery been revealed as a ‘Retail Star’ in trade publication ‘Professional Jewellers’ 2013 Hot 100 list.

The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 List 2013, was kept entirely secret until its unveiling at an exclusive invite-only industry event at No. 1 Marylebone

This is the fourth year that the event has been held to celebrate the UK jewellery industry’s brightest designers, brands, retailers and business people who have excelled over the past year and the second time Marmalade Jewellery have been recognized with this accolade.

Judges are asked to nominate businesses, who they believe have shown outstanding business success, product innovation or simply a forward-thinking attitude to jewellery design, retail, development or branding.

The Hot 100 is split into five industry-led categories: Retail Stars, Business Big Shots, Trendsetters, Trailblazers and NexGems, a category for emerging design talent.

Marmalade Jewellery are an independent jewellers based in Chiswick, West London famed for their outstanding customer service and high quality bespoke jewellery handmade in platinum or gold. The jewellery business is owned by husband and wife team Simon Johnson and Nadine Meegan and has won numerous awards. Simon is a Director of the National Association of Goldsmiths and Nadine is a regular judge for national jewellery design competitions.

Simon commented: “ We are delighted and speechless to be awarded this accolade for the second time. It’s a great honour and testament to the hard work and commitment to our entire team.”
