Orbis ranked in Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For

Chiswick based Orbis Technology Ltd, provider of online gaming and betting solutions, has been recognised as one of Britain’s ‘Best Companies to Work For’. Placed at number 51 on The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list 2010, Orbis Technology achieved the highest ranking for online gaming companies.

Following a comprehensive survey with over 230,000 employees from 964 businesses participating this year, the workforce gave their opinions in an evaluation of their organisation’s key statistics, processes and policies. Orbis Technology scored a place in the highly esteemed list by being successful in each of following key areas: Leadership, Wellbeing, My Manager, My Team, Fair Deal, Giving Something Back, My Company and Personal Growth.

Currently with over 285 employees and ever-increasing its workforce with a continual recruitment drive for more software developers, Orbis Technology is a young dynamic technology company with an average staff age of 27 years. Ranked in sixth place nationally for its overall ‘Fair Deal’, employees are pleased with their benefits (72%) which include free private healthcare, life assurance, loans, dental insurance, subsidised gym membership, performance-related pay and a share option scheme, plus an employee assistance programme and discounted services. A high majority (68%) agree that they feel fairly paid for the work they do relative to people in similar organisations and that their pay reflects their responsibilities (69%).

Other significant outcomes include the ninth highest national rating that shows most days employees do not feel exhausted when they get home from work and that they are happy with their work and life balance. Employees feel that their teammates care about each other and go out of their way to help one another (both 79% positive scores) and that colleagues are fun to work with (82%). Management also received a good score from more than three quarters of employees (76%) stating that they find management supportive with 77% agreeing that they talk openly and honestly to staff.
