Comings and Goings of 2007 | |||||
We take a look at the changing face of Chiswick businesses
2007 certainly saw its fair share of comings and goings in Chiswick. Old familiars closed down to be replaced by new and sometimes already familiar names. However, a balance between chains and independents opening appears to have remained. Understandably, the High Road saw the greatest level of activity but Devonshire Road came a very close second including the much lauded arrival of Gordon Ramsay (albeit a report is yet to arrive of someone actually seeing him) at The Devonshire. High Road arrivals include: Cath Kidson Turnham Green Terrace: Fat Face Devonshire Road: Abode Elsewhere in Chiswick: Duke of Sussex (South Parade) Studio G14 (Power Road) Old Stationhouse (Grove Park Road) And we said goodbye to: Andy's Kebabs (opened and closed again could possibly reopen!) Turnham Green Farmers Market Openings planned for 2008 Eco-age (January) Roko (February) Salon Two (January) If we have missed a business either opening or closing, please email editor@chiswickw4.com January 5, 2008 |
