Sample some of the best wines the South African wine region has on offer
South African Wine Tasting Elite Travel Destinations in collaboration with Mullineux & Leeu, winner of Platter's wine of the year award will be hosting a wine tasting evening at the Hogarth Health Club in Chiswick. Come sample some of the best wines the South African wine region has on offer. We will be showcasing exciting new comers from the Swartland currently creating waves on the international wine scene as well as some favourites from Stellenbosch and Constantia. Canape pairings will be available to sample along with a traditional South African braai (bbq). Included is a prize draw for 2 nights stay at the luxurious Leeu Estate in Franschhoek , complimentary wine tasting at Leeu for 2 and dinner at the Marigold Indian restaurant, nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape winelands lies the magnificent Franschhoek Valley . The Cape winegrowing areas, situated in the narrow viticultural zone of the southern hemisphere, mainly have a Mediterranean climate and the mountain slopes and valleys form the ideal habitat for the wine grape Vitis vinifera , the products of which have given pleasure to man for many centuries. Long, sun-drenched summers and mild, wet winters contribute to the ideal conditions for viticulture at the Cape. Wine tasting is one of the best ways to spend a day in Cape Town. Combine the delicious wines with some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth, century old architecture, and awe-inspiring food, and it's no surprise that it's one of Cape Town's most beloved activities for visitors and locals alike. Come spend an evening with us, in a relaxed setting while tasting some beautiful award-winning South African wines paired with delicious canapes. Limited availability. £25 a ticket includes food and 1 taster per bottle being showcased. Plus, a chance to win 2 nights stay at the luxurious Leeu Estate in Franschhoek.
