Local business is up for Drycleaner of the Year and for its Customer Service

Local business Top Hat cleaners has been shortlisted for two industry awards. The Devonshire Road dry cleaners, which is one of the longest-running local businesses in Chiswick, is shortlisted for Drycleaner of the Year, and also nominated in the Customer Service category of the first Laundry and Cleaning News Awards (LCN).

The family business is run by Mike Moran, who is well known for his involvement in the local business community and for organising the annual Devonshire Road Street Party. Top Hat also has a branch in King Street.

Top Hat was founded in 1967 when Mike Senior and Pat Moran opened their first shop in Kingsley Road, Hounslow before moving to Chiswick a year later.

The awards celebrate the best in the UK's laundry and drycleaning market across twelve categories.

Sponsored by HJ Weir, Ideal Manufacturing, Linen Connect, Miele Professional and The Dry Cleaner App, and supported by the Textile Services Association, CINET and The Guild of Cleaners and Launderers, the awards will be presented at a black-tie gala dinner at the Manor Hotel Meriden, Birmingham, on 20 October 2016.
