Established in 2003, this local theatre school offers all round performing arts training for 4-16 year olds. Their Spring term commences this weekend and they are on the look out for enthusiastic local children to star in their production of Hairspray.


Over the first few weeks of show term children are swinging back to the sixties in fun filled Hairspray Workshops taught by guest stars from the UK Tour and West End productions. These workshops will introduce younger students to the storylines and characters in Hairspray, as well as assisting older students in preparing for principal auditions. PSSA Hairspray auditions will take place throughout January and February in front of our team of Musical Directors and Choreographers – it’s a supportive, relaxed environment where everyone is encouraged to jump up and have a go! Weekly classes then become show rehearsals and students are encouraged to work together and bond as a cast as they prepare for curtain up on Hairspray at the prestigious Andrew Lloyd Webber Theatre at Arts Educational School in June.

BAM Entertainment, the leading talent agency associated with PSSA will also be attending the show, talent spotting for their books. Current PSSA students can be seen in Littlewoods Christmas Advert, British Red Cross and Othello Adverts, as well as in the West End production of Thriller, cinema blockbuster Insurgent and a top secret Warner Bros feature film due for release this Summer!

PSSA (Pop School & Stage Academy) is a London based theatre school run by Amelia Amos and her talented team of teachers. All staff are CRB checked, passionate performers, ensuring they are able to pass on the very latest skills and knowledge from the industry. Drawing on their collective experience in the arts, they offer all round performance training in singing, dancing, acting and musical theatre with amazing opportunities to visit a recording studio and record a single AND perform in a professionally staged musical every year.
