RNLI Summer Celebration At The Hogarth Health Club |
|
Honouring the vital work the crews do on the river Thames every time they launch to save lives
Join us, to raise a glass for the RNLI crews, saving lives on the Thames. Who could resist! With a canape reception, a chance to meet RNLI crew and Olympic Gold medallist, Boat Race winner and SAS Who Dares Wins participant James Cracknell. And all in the lovely surroundings at, friend of the station, the Hogarth Health Club in Chiswick. Since 2002, alongside its work every day on the river Thames, the RNLI’s Chiswick lifeboat station has supported The Boat Race with its E-class lifeboat. The crew are on hand to keep The Boat Race competitors safe, as well as the thousands of spectators who line the banks of the Thames on race day. In 2016, the RNLI bolstered its lifesaving service with the addition of nine Arancia-class lifeboats crewed by lifeguards. These are strategically positioned along the Championship Course to keep the public safe while the tide is incoming. This event will celebrate and thank our crew for their vital work keeping our city safe, as well as raising vital funds to keep our lifeboats afloat.
