Devonshire Road Street Party | ||||||||||||||
Saturday 9th September 2017 10.30 am to 4.30 pm
This year sees a few new faces on Devonshire Road and sadly we have lost some old friends and we wish them well. Each year we try to improve the day and with each passing year the Devonshire Road Street Party gets better and better if we are to go by the numbers attending or the feedback from the community. With new shops involved we have more music, more entertainment, more food and more money raised for the charities it's a day to be proud of. KFH Estate Agents continue as Sponsor this year and that's helped top up the generosity of the Businesses that have put their money it to promote themselves, the Road and also say thank you to the people that support them throughout the year. W4 Youth is our Charity this year with W4 Youth show casing what they do so this year they will be demonstrating their football skills with a “keepy upy” display , all the money raised from the Hog Roast will go to W4 Youth as well as monies raised from donations taking by the Shops on the day, Mike Moran from Top at Cleaners said “We are celebrating our 50 th year so we are pushing the boat out, we'll be joined throughout the day by old members of staff (we will also have two customers coming along that are still using us after 45 years of custom) and as usual we're also giving out Pimms and Popcorn and hopefully get a few donations to the Charity, Kate from Urban Pantry is also kindly baking us a birthday cake!” . Kate, owner of Urban Pantry, said “we all look forward to the day and enjoy the great atmosphere on the day. In this homogenised world we live in we love being part of the vibrant local community” We've got a wide range of music this year from Rat Pack and Swing through Elvis onto Latino and African but also including local bands and soloists. There is too much to list here so for a fuller list of events, music and shop involvement have a look at the new Website www.devonshireroad.london and follow your favourite shops on twitter or the @w4devonshireroad.
