Chiswick's local residents sell £2million property in a weekend
After opening a brand new concept in estate agency - internet based without a shop front - propertygarden has succesfully sold one of the more expensive properties in Chiswick after a weekend of viewing. Colette Browne says the reason why they obtained offers in a weekend and managed to bring it to quick exchange was simple " we are mature and take a simple honest approach to business - we are small so we look after our data base - this suited all parties - we also were in daily contact with all parties as well as their legal people who probally worked very hard as a result?" The vendor commented, "People thought instructing propertygarden was a mistake on a high value home such as mine - but I paid half the fee and propertygarden were excellent!" propertygarden is an estate agency owned and completely staffed by local Chiswick residents from a background of property, sales management and lettings. They charge a fixed commission of just 0.75% which is less that a third of what some of the larger agents ask. They say being local gives them the necessary knowledge of the schools, the doctors, the builders which propertygarden believes to be fundamental to good service. On average it takes 8 weeks to sell a home and 17 viewings so if your home has been on the market for months – it’s either not being marketed properly or it’s priced incorrectly according to Colette. Propertygarden.com are open and are booking free valuations now and are based at 500 Chiswick High Road W4. Telephone Colette on 0208 994 8405. June 30, 2005
