Report
The
Youth Club has been up and running for the
last year and is now a lively part of the Parish
life for young people. We meet every Friday
in the Parish Centre and play table tennis,
table football, snooker and board games. We
were lucky in raising an initial sum of £500
towards equipment and outings and a parishioner
was kind enough to buy us a table tennis table.
We have a music centre and CDs and members
are welcome to bring their own music along.
We also sometimes have games of bingo and Quiz
Nights.
Special
events we have enjoyed include a trip to Feltham
Superbowl, an evening at Art 4 Fun in Chiswick
and a disco which was run to raise money for
the NSPCC.
During
the Summer months we enjoyed going over to
Turnham Green for games of football. We are
in the process of becoming affiliated to Hounslow
Youth Groups which will give us access to other
facilities and potential activities.
Over
the coming winter months we shall turn to more
indoor activities. We plan a Table Tennis tournament,
Quiz Night and a Christmas Disco is booked
for November 25th. We also plan another bowling
trip and we are designing a mural which we
are going to make with help from Art 4 Fun.
We also plan some fund-raising activities so
that we can organise more outings for next
year.
We
also hope throughout the year to organise support
and help for local charities/good causes/ encourage
our members to take social responsibility in
the area and within our Parish.
