Potions becomes Piano Restaurant Lounge and there's a new sushi in town
Bucking the trend of High Streets across the capital, Chiswick's new openings continue apace. Piano Restaurant Lounge is taking on the former Potions site (pictured right) transforming the interior into a glitzy Persian paradise complete with piano - the clue is the name - imported Italian furniture, chandeliers and mirrors and a Swarovski crystal glad bar at which customer can sip their cocktails. The chef is native Persian, and the new owners are setting their sights high, confident that they will be producing the best Persian food in Chiswick. At the other end of the High Road, Gunnersbury is fast becoming the centre of W4's gastronomy with the much hailed Hedone, old favourite Yuppas doubling in size and a new Sushi and Bento Restaurant set to open its doors any day now. Last but by no means least is Devonshire Road with The Devonshire Arms and Indian Cinnamon both doing well in their opening month. Have we missed anyone?
