Will
to Win on the verge
Local tennis team one match away from the title
Chiswick based Will to Win moved one step closer to the Middlesex
division 5 league title with a hard fought 14-10 victory over local
rivals Gunnersbury Triangle.
In past encounters the fast low bouncing courts have not been to
the Chiswick teams liking but this time Nick Armstrong and Conrad
Germain won three sets. Paul Vinnell with Marcus Barclay and Phill
Tait with Luke Rustad won two each making the victory Will to Win’s.
There is now one match left to play against Acton LTC and victory
should see the title come to Chiswick adding to the Middlesex Division
4 cup that Will to Win recently secured.
The
Will to Win tennis centres run a series of box leagues over the
year with over a 100 players regularly competing against similar
standard of opponents. For details ring Olwyn on 020 7224 1625.
