Chiswick RFC looking for new players
Rugby players looking for a local team should get down to Turnham Green on Saturday 8th August for Chiswick Rugby Club’s Recruitment Day. The club has secured a very special celebrity rugby guest to host the event, which starts at 11.00am. Potential new players will be able to practice their skills, play touch rugby and meet players and officials. Head Coach Andy Barrington indicated that the club has enjoyed remarkable success recently, with both the first and second teams achieving promotion for the second year in succession, and is looking for new players before the start of the season. “Our first XV will play in London 2 North West next season, and our second XV are in the second division of the Middlesex Merit Tables. Anyone looking to play competitive rugby and be part of a winning team should come down to the recruitment day and get involved” he said. The club also runs a number of more social sides, and through a new partnership with London Welsh Youth, will also offer rugby for U-14s to U-17s from next season. Chiswick RFC is always looking for new players, and those unable to make the recruitment day should attend training at Riverside Lands every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm, or Sunday Morning for the youth teams.
