For match that could take them two games away from final at Twickenham
Chiswick Rugby Club top of the Herts and Middlesex 1 table are through to the last 16 of the National EDF Vase competition. Having seen off the challenge of the also previously unbeaten rivals Eastleigh from Hampshire 2 in the last round, Chiswick have drawn the tough west country outfit from St Austell currently placed 3rd in Cornwall 1 at home on Saturday 2nd February. Victory for Chiswick means they would be just two games away from a Cup Final at Twickenham. St Austell are promising to bring a huge support base with them and they are determined not to be out done by the traveling supporters which include their own brass band! A spokesperson for the club said "If you are able to, please come down and support us, we are unbeaten this season in all competitions playing some fantastic open running rugby. "We are on target to win an unprecedented league and cup quadruple in our 50th Anniversary season. This is the biggest match of our season to date and promises to be a brilliant game with alot of talented players on show. As the host club Chiswick will offer our guests our usual high level of hospitatlity off the pitch and a very warm welcome on the playing field. There will be alot of refreshments pitch side to keep you in good voice cheering us on as well. "We expect a large crowd supporting both teams on the day and are looking forward to a very exciting match with a great fun atmosphere.
