Rugby result: Grasshoppers U14’s 34 Hemel Hempstead 10

Grasshoppers U14’s ended their Middlesex and Herts League campaign with a 34-10 win against Hemel Hempstead writes Phill Tait.

After both sides gained promotion last season this was a very good measure of progress as the teams were very evenly matched in 2010. The hard work that G’s have put in the twice a week training sessions has clearly paid off as the result was never in doubt.

Grasshoppers ran in six tries with skipper Ian Upton scoring two, Mohammad Mallah, Lesley Jayathon, Jake Ross and Brandon Sumer all scored one each with Harry Cushen and Harry Wicks each scoring a conversion.

The result lifted Grasshoppers over both Hemel and Ruislip leaving the side a very creditable fourth position
