Grasshoppers Under 14’s started this season’s campaign with a resounding 36-5 win away at Maidenhead RFC

Grasshoppers opened the scoring with a great side step and try from James Gill only for Maidenhead to equalise soon after. Hoppers continued to push and Harry Cushen scored to restore the lead before time

Coach Dylan Mathews made several changes at half time but the rhythm of Hoppers seemed uninterrupted and the work on the training pitch clearly showed through. Great handling from the backs created many scoring chances and great pace from Bandon Sumner gave him two tries with regular No8 Lesley Jayathan sprinting through for a trademark effort.

Special mention should go to Oscar Jackson-Duffy who swerved through to score on his debut.

Reliable as ever Harry Cushen scored three conversions in blustery conditions.
