Bealonians 3 Old Meadonians 0
For Old Meadonians, the mopping up of an unfortunate surfeit of league fixtures has become a bit of a problem as their dwindling squad drops points they can ill afford. They have now lost two important elements of their cutting edge in speedsters, Peter Eguae and Ed Glover and Saturday’s game against Bealonians left mid-field dynamo Will Gerrish unlikely to be fit before the end of the season. Although Meads dominated the first half, with the breeze behind them, they failed to capitalise on the five clear-cut chances generated and fell behind to the one opportunity sod’s law provided the hosts five minutes before the interval. The second half was naturally more even but by then Meads’ heads had dropped and a moderate Beals side took advantage to score two more. Squad: Robinson, Shea, Pointer, McCombe, Mantel, Allen, Gerrish, Chapman, Brennan, Wilson, C. Jones, Mace, Thompson. Parmiterians 3 Old Meadonians 1 In this Tuesday evening game the woes were piled on as striker Craig Jones was invalided out for the rest of the season, but Meads were three down by half-time. They did have a small consolation when on the hour Matt Allen scored with a fine volley. Squad; Robinson, Shea, Pointer, Toher, Quinn, Bright, Chapman, Thompson, Allen, Netto, C. Jones, Mantel, Benn.
