Old Meadonians kept their foot on the gas with a workmanlike performance against doomed Clapham Old Xaverians with Alex Jones continuing his bumper harvest with a goal in each half.
He continues to shoulder the major burden of keeping the scoreboard ticking over. His first after twenty minutes showed his ability to surprise friend and foe alike as, having worked himself clear of entanglement, he exploded the ball into the top corner without needing to get closer than fifteen yards.
His second with twenty to go was, for him, a routine shoo in for the MoM award.
