A second half hat-trick by Dan Loman in only his second league game for the club ensured PHC Chiswick made it two from two after a 6-3 win at BA on Saturday.

PHC started the game well and took the lead after Mitch Jamieson scored from a penalty corner on 15 mins. PHC looked to dominate the remainder of the half, but the BA defence stood firm. Dharmesh Puna eventually doubled the lead with a timely corner two minutes before the break after a good move down the right.

PHC were slow coming out of the blocks in the second half and BA took advantage by scoring twice within the space of two minutes to make it 2-2. A fine stick save by Rob Cooper a couple of minutes later spared PHC blushes further to keep the scores level.

PHC responded well and were awarded a stroke after Ashley Holman broke down the right. Loman calmly stepped up and put it away to restore PHC's lead.

A lapse in concentration and some indifferent defence saw BA earn and convert a penalty stroke of their own to draw level after a counter-attack. PHC responded by applying more pressure in their search for the winner and a further stroke was awarded after a shot was blocked on the line. Loman again made no mistake and convincingly converted.

PHC didn't sit back on the lead and continued to attack as they started to capitalise on the ascendancy that they had established in the midfield.. More chances were created and duly rewarded in the last two minutes when Loman completed his hatrick from a penalty corner and Holman finished off another good attacking move down the right to complete the 6-3 scoreline.

Dan Hall impressed up front with a high work rate and good link up play whilst Martin King had a strong game down the left, which could have easily been capped off with a couple of goals late in the game.

This was a good result for PHC as wins against BA in the past have been hard to come by.

A tough local derby at home against unbeaten Staines awaits this Saturday but PHC will look to continue to extend their winning run and build on some good early performances.
