Chiswick & Latymer Cricket Club have it all to play for
With one game to go in the Thames Valley League, Chiswick and Latymer have it all to play for against Finchampstead next week after an impressive win over Datchet on Saturday. Chiswick are currently in second place in Division 2A, 16 points behind leaders Bagshot. Vice-captain Wes Van den Berg scored 136 not out for Chiswick as they set Datchet 294 to win. Despite a fighting 96 not out from Dave Smith, Datchet were all out for 195, with Kulli Bhatia taking 7-51. Meanwhile Chiswick and Latymer 2nd XI had a good win over Teddington Town. Chasing 248 to win, good knocks by Jay Dhillon (96) and Paul Piper (54) saw Chiswick home with 5 wickets, and 3 balls, to spare. The 3rd XI’s hopes of promotion took a blow with a 9 wicket loss to Cove, while the 4th XI won a close game against Eversley, with fine performances from Will Comery (6-59) and Mark Fedorowicz (68).
