Savour Chiswick Food and Drink Festival | |||||
A summertime celebration of the eating and drinking delights of W4
The countdown has begun for savourCHISWICK - a summertime celebration of W4's unique vibrant ‘foodie’ economy. With restaurants ranging from Michelin-starred and Bib Gourmand haute cuisine to quirky ‘local institutions’, brasseries and cafes, everywhere from the High Road to the riverside you’ll find al fresco dining, quality pubs, stylish bars and specialist gourmet retailers. During the festival, which runs from 1st to 10th July, restaurants and cafes will be showcasing their signature dishes at special prices, pubs and bars will be running festival happy hours and retailers will create food and drink offers to get everyone in the summer festival mood. Events will take place over the 10 days, from a ‘meet the author’ event with broadcaster, author and Chiswick resident Richard Johnson at Waterstones on Saturday 2nd July, Summer Evening Soiree in Chiswick House Conservatory on Sunday 3rd of July, a 4th of July BBQ, Napa Restaurant at the Chiswick Moran, a beer and food matching evening hosted by Fuller's Head Brewer John Keeling at The Pilot, an Amuse Bouche comedy night at George IV and festival finale pop-up restaurant featuring celebrity chef Arthur Potts Dawson at Bardolino, using produce from Turnham Green Terrace's independent traders. Full details of all these events and how to book tickets can be found in the festival programme available from all participants and other businesses in Chiswick and on the calendar here. Profits from the Amuse Bouche comedy evening and Festival Finale pop up events will go to The Upper Room. Festival founders Emma Brophy and Alison Porter commented: “We’ve both seen Chiswick grow into a restaurant, bar and cafe hotspot while retaining a villagey vibe with quality food retailers. savourCHISWICK will celebrate every aspect of food & drink from our local brewery to cafe lunches and destination dining. We’re delighted with the enthusiastic response from businesses and the community, so we’re looking forward to a very delicious ten days of celebrating Chiswick." Further details can be found at www.savourchiswick.co.uk or pick up a programme at particpating venues in Chiswick (available from last week in June) including Charlotte’s Bistro (Bib Gourmand), Restaurant Michael Nadra, Annie’s, Fuller’s Brewery, Côte Brasserie, The Pilot, and Globe Bar & Napa Restaurant (Chiswick Moran Hotel).
