New bar opens on Chiswick High Road

We can safely say that during the recent refurbishment, the former Paragon - now Potion - was not 'gastrated' as was feared.

Sports screens remain however, it's now music that provides the background to the High Road's newest bar which opened last week with a party for local residents.

The exterior blue neon lighting and large canopy makes certain Potion cannot be passed without being noticed.

The interior is also bright with high stools and replacing the old sofas and a long bar to sit and sip cocktails at.

Owner Mandeep Dhillon said, "Chiswick has bars and gastro-pubs, but we couldn’t see anything like we’re doing.”

From the opening night he appears to be right pitching Potion midway between Carvosso's and Revolution.

Potion offers staff that are young and genuinely friendly, a good quality concise food menu and special offers such as happy hour between 5.00pm and 8.00pm and £3.60 cocktails.
