Irish Rugby Team choose Moran Hotel as base for Six Nations match
The rumours began when Paul O'Connoll Twittered that he was on his way to Chiswick and were confirmed by the sight of Ireland's finest emerging from Chiswick Moran Hotel on Saturday bound for Twickenham. Actually there were plenty of other tell tale signs that the Irish Rugby Team had chosen W4 as a base for their Six Nations match against England, namely the large groups O2 track suit clad men spotted on and around the High Road and their coach parked behind the hotel. Chiswick Moran's Robert Russell said, "It's great that the team chose to stay here and it's great for the hotel's profile in Dublin." "They're genuinely nice down to earth guys," he added. The squad, which included the now 100 capped John Hayes, newcomer Johnathan Sexton, Ronan O'Gara and Brian O'Driscoll, was joined by members of the IRFU which meant the almost the entire hotel was taken over by rugby. Visitors and the few other guests didn't seem to mind though, a great craic was had by all. February 26, 2010
