Weekend fires leave two restaurants closed

Fires over the weekend have closed two Chiswick restaurants, one before it even officially opened.

Turnham Green Terrace's latest addition Cote has had to postpone their opening until Thursday after a small fire broke out in the premises on Saturday. Although having waited almost five years for something to open on the site, a few more days won't hurt diners.

The fire brigade were also called to The Devonshire over the weekend.

A spokesperson for the gastro-pub told ChiswickW4.com, "Unfortunately due to a small kitchen fire, The Devonshire is currently closed."

She apologised for any inconvenience this would cause adding, "We cannot commit to a reopening time at the moment but will let you know as soon as we can."
