Italian restaurant Tarantella expanding on the High Street

Acton is to get a new Italian restaurant with the arrival of the second outlet from the people behind Tarantella restaurant in Chiswick.

Tarantella was set up in 2007 just off the High Road by Domenico from Calabria, Francesco from Naples and Giuseppe from Puglia but this is believed to be their first foray into expansion.

The place is expected to be opened by the middle of September the menu will be very similar to the one in Chiswick with a wood burning pizza oven.

They are taking over the premises of Meatcetera opposite the Town Hall at 90 High Street which lasted at the location for not much longer than a year.

There may be more reason for optimism for the survival of the new restaurant as it will attract custom from a loyal band of followers of the Chiswick restaurant and with the regenerated Oaks Shopping Centre and the new cinema hopefully going to open nearby footfall looks set to increase.
