Piazza Taormina Bistro offering seafood orientated menu
A new Italian restaurant has moved into Turnham Green Terrace taking over the premises formerly occupied by Charlottes at number six. The head chef of Piazza Taormina Bistro is Massimiliano Romano. Taormina is a town in Sicily and coincidentally is the location of the hotel school where Luciano Lo Dico founder and owner of Foubert’s was trained and the new restaurant will just be a few doors down from his premises. However, he is not believed to be connected with the new venture. The menu is aimed at an upmarket clientele with some classic Italian dishes and some which are the chef’s own creation. There is a predominance of seafood on the menu but there are always options for meat eaters and vegetarians. Starters range from £6 to £10 and include citrus salmon with vegetable escabeche and basil cream on a crispy wafer. Mains cost from £18 to £22 and include rump of lamb with thyme, broccolini and wine sauce. They are offering a lunch menu at £13.50 for two course and £17.50 for three with starters, pasta and risotto, mains and deserts. The mains include chicken escalopes with mushrooms and grilled salmon with wasabi mayo. The restaurant will be offering home delivery through Deliveroo.
