Chiswick Clayton Hotel Food Hygiene Standards 'Need Improvement' | ||||
Dalata-owned hotel had a visit from Hounslow Council inspectors
The Clayton Hotel Chiswick, which unveiled a £21 million extension and refurbishment last year, has been told it needs to improve its food hygiene standards. An inspection by a food hygiene inspector gave the four-star hotel a rating of 2, which means 'Improvement Necessary'. The top rating is 5. The lowest is 1. Food Hygiene and Safety was regarded as 'Fair'. Structural Compliance was 'Poor' while Confidence in Management was rated as Good. The inspection was carried out on August 16 2017. Food hygiene inspectors carry out the inspections on behalf of the local authority which in this case is the London Borough of Hounslow. The reports reveal the ratings but not the reasons behind the grading. The four-star hotel close to Chiswick Roundabout formerly known as the Chiswick Moran added a large ballroom suitable for weddings, conferences and other functions, along with 104 bedrooms, bringing the total of guest rooms to 227. The entire hotel was completely refurbished.
