Very wet 10 hour event raises £220 at Chiswick New Pool
More than £220 was raised by New Chiswick Pool for Sport Relief in a non stop, 10 hour challenge by staff and a team of swimmers and gym members.
An armband was passed like a baton in both the gym and the pool to keep the teamwork running all day long and they also smashed the cumulative distance target of 100 miles.
By working as a team they clocked up over 188 miles using rowing and exercise machines in the gym and lengths in the pool.
“It was pretty hard work but everyone taking part seemed to enjoy what was a very wet and very sweaty event” said Kevin Bisase, fitness instructor at New Chiswick Pool.
"100 per cent of the proceeds will go to Sport Relief", added Kevin. “We’d like to thank and congratulate everyone who took part in the pass the baton challenge and everyone who donated in support of Sport Relief.”
