The winner of the competition to design the Perfect Summer Menu for Charlotte's Bistro was Peter Saunders who visited for his complimentary lunch in August.

Peter and his guest met Head Chef Wesley at the bar and enjoyed a glass of champagne whilst discussing how chef had interpreted his winning entry.

Moving through to the dining room for lunch there was time for another glass of champagne before the starter of Tomato Gazpacho with Avocado Sorbet which owner Alex served with an Amontillado sherry from Barbadillo for a perfect regional pairing. Main course of Salmon with Greens and Grapefruit followed and was matched with a Californian Viognier from Cline Vineyards.

Finally the Lemon Syllabub with Kentish Raspberries rounded off a near 'Perfect Summer Lunch'.

Peter was delighted with the results and has already been back to Charlotte's to catch up with Wesley and have lunch again since!
