It's well known that west London pretty much becomes a ghost town in August with everyone zooming off to France, Spain and other foreign fields for one or two precious weeks of sun – or in the case of those who picked Cornwall, some pouring rain :) (...only kidding, we love Cornwall – loads of our fish comes from there!)

Some brilliant bistro gems on the menu this month feature local butcher Hook & Cleaver's British beef tartare with an irresistible truffle emulsion and sourdough toast – the perfect summer starter and one of our favourites served with capers, Worcester sauce and a raw egg. Bring it on!

For mains, try freshly made potato gnocchi with a divine mushroom velouté, lightly fried seasonal girolles and a little rocket salad with the British version of parmesan – a rich and deeply flavoured Montgomery cheddar.

New puddings are knock-out too. Try warm caramelised pineapple with amaretto, a distinctly flavoured sweet yuzu curd and fresh buttermilk ice cream or our new peach feast, making the most of seasonal white peaches – we've got them macerated, in a sorbet and as crisps….to showcase the their unique & delicious flavour.
