The inaugural Chiswick Restaurant Festival proved a huge success raising more than £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Organised by ChiswickW4.com, the Festival was a celebration of eating out in W4 highlighting the diverse and exciting range of restaurants in the area whilst raising money for a worthy cause.

From 1st to 31st August 2010 food lovers experiences some of the Chiswick’s finest cooking with participating restaurants showcasing what they believe they do best.

Lorraine Angliss, owner of Annie's, said, "We have such a vibrant dining out scene in Chiswick, so it's wonderful to harness that for such a good cause.

"We should do it every year. Let's use the things we enjoy to help others - that way we can put a smile on everyone's face!"

Sam Harrison added, "It was a great idea of ChiswickW4 to put the restaurant festival together and highlight the amazing choice of restaurants we now have in Chiswick. Great fun for all of us to get involved with and a great way of raising money for such a fantastic cause"

Participating restaurants (in alphabetical order) were: Annie's Restaurant, The Barley Mow, Blueberry Café, Canta Napoli, Caffé Piccolo, Charlotte's Bistro, Chella Restaurant, Chiswick House Café, Clever Wally's, Crown & Anchor, Le Vacherin, Lola & Simon, Napa Restaurant@ Chiswick Moran Hotel, Pissarro, Restaurant Michael Nadra, Sam's Brasserie, Villandry Kitchen, and Yupa's Thai Kitchen.

Some Chiswick restaurants will be taking part in October's London Restaurant Festival. Watch this space for further details of local dining events.
