The camera is turned on the two photographers Ian Wylie and Jon Perry
The two photographers behind the Chiswick 2015 Charity Calendar have featured in a recent video interview talking about their work and the inspiration behind the calendar. Ian Wylie and Jon Perry talk about the images in the calendar, their love of photography, and why they chose to start the charity calendar-now in its third year- which raises funds for St Michael and All Angels Church. Ian and Jon are familiar faces around W4 attending community events ranging from the Devonshire Road Street Party, the Christmas lights 'switch on', and the Bedford Park festivals. They try to carry their cameras everywhere they go because, as Ian says; "You never know what you might see." But they are often out in all weathers taking photographs of Chiswick through the seasons, whether it's wonderful snow scenes along Strand-on-the-Green, or summer blossom in Turnham Green or Chiswick parks. The cover of the calendar featuring Strand on the Green The interview features on The Chiswick Calendar www.thechiswickcalendar.co.uk - a new events / listings website which celebrates life in Chiswick in photography and video. All profits from the 2015 edition will go to the St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, charity appeal and the Christ Church Turnham Green / St Alban’s Back To Life Campaign. Freelance journalist Ian Wylie said: “The 2014 calendar broke all sales records and we have already had to re-stock outlets that have sold out of the new 2015 edition. “Our aim is to celebrate a place we all love while raising funds for local W4 good causes.” Printed on high quality photographic paper, the calendar includes 13 outstanding new images of Chiswick. The cover features the Thames at Strand-on-the-Green as Port of London Authority launch ‘Chelsea’ makes Chiswick waves. The 12 photos inside are: (January) New Year Dawn over Strand-on-the-Green and St Paul’s, Grove Park; (February) Light On St Alban’s Church; (March) Bedford Park Reflections; (April) High Tide Pride at Chiswick Mall; (May) Moon And Stars at the W4 Russian Cathedral; (June) The Secret Garden; (July) Of Chiswick on Chiswick High Road; (August) Stand By Voysey; (September) Table Light; (October) Warm Palette; (November) Foggy Night Glow at Strand-on-the-Green; (December) Festive Wood Stock Delivery.
