Buy the charity calendar at the first weekend of the Bedford Park Festival
The Chiswick 2015 charity calendar will be launched this week at the opening weekend of the Bedford Park Festival. First copies of the new W4 calendar will be on sale at both the Green Days weekend and the Photo Exhibition and Competition. Local photographers Jon Perry and Ian Wylie fund the project and donate their best Chiswick images for the calendar, now in its third year of production. All profits from the 2015 edition will go to the St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, charity appeal and the Christ Church Turnham Green / St Alban’s Back To Life Campaign. Freelance journalist Ian Wylie said: “The 2014 calendar broke all sales records and we believe the new 2015 calendar is our best yet. “As ever, our aim is to celebrate a place we all love while raising funds for local W4 good causes.” Printed on high quality photographic paper, the calendar includes 13 outstanding new images of Chiswick. The cover features the Thames at Strand-on-the-Green as Port of London Authority launch ‘Chelsea’ makes Chiswick waves. The 12 photos inside are: (January) New Year Dawn over Strand-on-the-Green and St Paul’s, Grove Park; (February) Light On St Alban’s Church; (March) Bedford Park Reflections; (April) High Tide Pride at Chiswick Mall; (May) Moon And Stars at the W4 Russian Cathedral; (June) The Secret Garden; (July) Of Chiswick on Chiswick High Road; (August) Stand By Voysey; (September) Table Light; (October) Warm Palette; (November) Foggy Night Glow at Strand-on-the-Green; (December) Festive Wood Stock Delivery. The calendar is again available in two sizes: The A4 edition costs £12 and the large £20, with stocks also available after next weekend at both Waterstone’s and Fosters’ Bookshop on Chiswick High Road - plus other local outlets later in the year. Ian Wylie added: “We would like to thank all the community spirited Chiswick businesses who work with us on this charity project. “With thanks to John Fitzgerald and his team at Snappy Snaps on the High Road for their support and expertise in producing this high quality W4 calendar.” The Bedford Park Photo Exhibition and Competition, upstairs in the St Michael and All Angels Parish Hall, opens on Friday (June 6) with a preview evening - open to all - from 6:45pm to 9pm. It will also be open from noon to 6pm on Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday, with prize giving at 4:30pm. Entrance is on The Avenue side of the church opposite Acton Green Common, where Green Days also takes place on Saturday and Sunday. As well as being on sale at the Photo Exhibition, the 2015 Chiswick charity calendar will be available at the St Michael and All Angels stall on Green Days.
