Chiswick War Memorial Public Meeting

On September 23, to consider plans for the Turnham Green site

The Friends of Turnham Green will hold a meeting on the 23rd September to ask local residents what they would like to happen to the War Memorial on the east side of Turnham Green.  The meeting will be held at Christ Church from 7.30 to 8.30.  Residents will be asked to vote on 3 options:

1. To leave the memorial landscaping as it is - no change to anything
2. Remove the trees and hedge, but leave the existing paving and seats
3. New circular paving and seating around the memorial 

If option 3 proves the most popular, a committee of local residents will be appointed to work with Air Architects and Hounslow Council on an appropriate design - to be implemented in early 2014.

Last January local councillors agreed that the Friends should put up a range of proposals for wider public consultation.
