Abundance London led a huge effort to plant up the new flower bed that forms part of the Turnham Green Terrace piazza project this week.

650 herbaceous perennials (including gaura, campanula, knautia, ox eye daisies, asters) and over 5,000 spring bulbs will form a new-style perennial meadow.

Around thirty people, including the community policewomen, kids, volunteers from the Cookbook Festival & Chiswick House Kitchen Garden, and others worked really hard to create this fantastic new garden.

Not only will this reclaim a neglected public space within Chiswick Back Common, but it will provide an oasis of biodiversity for bees and other insects.

The project continues with new benches and artworks, and will be launched in September with a fabulous street party.
