Welcome to the Top Hat Cleaner's Christmas message. All of us here wish you a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’d also like to thank you for your support throughout the year, our 48th in Chiswick!

It’s a 40 year old tradition for us to give a bottle of wine to our regular customers at Christmas-time but, after reflecting on wider matters and local needs, this year I decided to donate the gift funds to a charity, Acton Homeless Concern.

Every customer I have spoken to has agreed that this is a better use of the money - although we also agreed the wine gifts had always been great quality! Acton Homeless Concern will use the money to continue their excellent work helping those that need a little help, especially at this time of year.

Additionally, on Saturday 5th December, between 10am and 3pm, we’ll be celebrating Christmas in our shop. There will be mince pies baked by our manager and ‘Great British Bake Off Wannabe’ Billy Evans, winter grog for those wishing to celebrate more “traditionally” and popcorn for teetotallers and toddlers alike and all this to the accompaniment of to my friend Ray Lowe who will be singing Christmas classics like ‘White Christmas’. Feel free to drop in for Top Hat’s version of festive cheer.

I 'd also like to take this opportunity to thank my staff for another year’s hard work. Yes we do invest in the best training, equipment and technology, but I also think happy, well-rewarded colleagues are important…and ethical.

So come use Chiswick’s longest established dry cleaners; a family-owned and operated business that cares about your local community as much as about your clothes…
