A memorial garden has been proposed at Turnham Green in memory of Tommy Hollis (pictured on right).

The little boy died from injuries received after he was crushed by a lamp post in February 2010. He was asleep in his pushchair, waiting to cross the road outside the Chiswick Town Hall at the time and died in hospital 48 hours later on the eve of his first birthday.

The Friends of Turnham Green have been working closely with parents Chris and Kate Hollis to design a memorial garden on the Green.

The proposed design aims to celebrate the life of Tommy, and at the same time, be sympathetic to the character of the Green. You can link to the design here

The design has already been presented to Tommy ’s parents and the wider Friends group. A statement said;  "The Friends would like to present this as is an opportunity for all visitors to the green to put their thoughts forward on the proposals.

Please email your support, concerns or further ideas to Fareeda Ahmed at the following address - fareeda.ahmed@carillionservices.co.uk. Should the feedback received continue to be supportive of the design and its location, we will aim to implement the proposals late spring."
