Time Out Love London Awards for the Most Loved Local spots
They are the Most Loved Locals in Chiswick, the shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs that give W4, its unique identity. They range from a cafe inspired by Antipodean cooking, to a vinyl cafe, a deli with a Nordic-style interior, and the grounds of an 18th century villa. Time Out's 2018 Love London Awards have been revealed. For the past five weeks, people all over the city have been voting for their favourite restaurants, bars, shops, parks and other local spots. Here are the winners for Chiswick, as voted for by locals. Urban Pantry has won Best Brunch in Chiswick and was also runner-up in the Best Coffee spot. The Devonshire Road cafe, set up by Kate Frobisher, which was inspired by Antipodean cooking was praised for its innovative breakfast/brunch menu with dishes such as shaksuka, quinoa and kale pancakes, and smashed avocado with poached egg, dukkah and halloumi. Crucial Cafe, based in the Hogarth Health Club, which focuses on healthy eating, was runner-up. The cafe does not use refined sugar or additives, uses beneficial grains, and offers detox diets and deliveries. Rhythm & Brews was Best Place for Coffee. The vinyl cafe has proved popular with locals for its relaxed atmosphere, and serves coffee, breakfast and light lunches. They play classic records all day long, and have music and live sessions. They also sell re-issues of vinyls if customers hear something they want to take home. Chiswick House and Gardens, was winner of the Most Loved Park. Best Bar was The Roebuck, with the City Barge as Runner-Up. Hack & Veldt was The Most Loved Shop in Chiswick, with the Old Cinema as Runner-Up. Customers said: "Love this coffee place with its Nordics atmosphere, blue board, wooden bar and stools and antlers symbol. The ambience is cosy and offers tasty coffees.
