Free Places At Top Local Sculling Club Courses

Tideway Scullers School offers scholarship places this summer

Top sculling club, Chiswick's Tideway Scullers School, is offering a couple of free scholarship places on this summer's Alec Hodges Courses at the club at Chiswick Bridge.

These five-day intensive courses normally cost £360 a head. There are five this summer, and they are almost always over-subscribed. Three General Courses are for beginners to experienced, juniors and adults, 20-24 July, 3-7 August, 17-21 August. Plus two Advanced Courses for race-experienced scullers (junior advanced 27-31 July, senior advanced 31 August - 4 September).

They are interested in strongly motivated potential athletes (adults or juniors) who would otherwise not be able to afford the course fee and are not already members of TSS. Juniors should be attending a non-rowing school, and must apply with the endorsement and contact details of their school's head of sport.
