Theatre West Four celebrate the work of a musical genius

The next production by Theatre West Four is The Magic of Gershwin, running from Tuesday 17th to Saturday 20th May, including a Saturday matinee, at The Questors Theatre, 12 Mattock Lane, W5 5BQ.

Following their production of Cole, Theatre West Four want to celebrate the work of another musical genius, George Gershwin.

With his brother, Ira, George Gershwin wrote some of the most memorable songs of the last century, in theatre, film and popular music, including such tunes as Lady Be Good, I Got Rhythm, S’Wonderful and not forgetting Summertime from his revolutionary hit musical Porgy and Bess.

Theatre West Four have devised a show telling his tragically short life story with words, songs and dance.

Chiswick’s foremost amateur theatre company, Theatre West Four has been staging productions in West London for over fifty years. Members come from all over London to participate in readings, workshops, rehearsals and productions.

The group welcomes enthusiasts interested in performing, directing, producing, stage management and all aspects of theatre production.
