Take A Riverside Stroll At Strand on the Green |

Join the Thames Discovery Programme for a morning Riverside Stroll for adults at Strand-on-the-Green, Chiswick, 16 December 2016, 10am and learn more about the unique archaeology and history of the River Thames. Explore the former fishing village of Strand-on-the-Green and find out about the brewing industry and important river crossings in the area. This walk is along the Thames Path with step free access, there are some benches for seating along the route. The walk will last about 45 minutes at a gentle pace, finishing in a local venue, with a chance to examine finds from the foreshore over a cup of tea or coffee. This event is supported by a project to work with Londoners, Thames Discovery Project, funded by City Bridge Trust, and they are able to offer free places for anyone aged over 75.
